Denzel J. Thompson, of the block of 1100 East Cunningham Drive in Palatine, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Monday August 6, 2018 after he was seen entering a parked vehicle in the block of 1500 Rand Road, Palatine police said.

Palatine police said Thompson fled after he noticed he was being watched. He was located nearby by officers. He was detained, and officers found him with credit cards and bank cards that were not his. Two of the cards had been used for unauthorized transactions at various retail locations, according to police.
Thompson was charged with unlawful use of a credit card and burglary.
Thompson appeared in Cook County court, where his bail was set at $15,000. Thompson’s next court date Friday, August 31, 2018.
